produces exquisitely intricate original works on paper, including
monoprints and monotypes
(handmade prints)
as well as
constructions on handmade and cast papers. Her work is
characterized by rich colors expertly combined with energetic
textures and forms. Primarily “abstract” or nonrepresentational,
her compositions are easy for anyone to relate to, as suggestions
of pathways, doorways, and subtle architectural elements draw the
casual viewer into the work.
We often designate her work as
"mixed media" because she often embellishes her pieces with
additional layers of handmade paper, metallic accents, paint,
colored pencil, etc. Her works are unique originals.
Occasionally, she creates original works in a series, but within the
series each piece is unique.
It is important to know that in
her works on handmade paper, the pigments of the ink or paint are
imbedded into the paper, not merely pressed onto the top of the
paper. Very few artists have the expertise, the vision, and even the
facilities to produce such elegant contemporary art. Click on the
