recommend matting these dynamic pieces simply, using acid free
bright, clean white mats. Double or triple white mats enhance
the depth and fine dimension of the embossed pieces (shown above).

The following 8 pieces are full sheet monoprints with musical embossment. The total plate size, including embossment is approximately 17"x 23" for the centered monoprint. (Shown to the right, detail of the embossment for the centered full sheet monoprints. Actual width of this embossment strip is 3.5"). The plate size for the centered monoprint is 9 3/4" x 15 1/2" The combined plate size for the monoprint with piano embossment is 171/2 x 23 1/2". The size of the monoprint itself 17 1/2 x 17 1/4, exclusive of the piano embossment. These pieces are very versatile and may be framed to the paper size approx 22" x 28 3/4", or matted out to 26" x 32". They can be enlarged further by floating the piece on a dark complementary background, then using 4" of matting, bottom weighted, to a finished frame size as large as 32" x 40". |
