Returns Policy for Estrella Fine Art

    In setting our Returns Policy, we are attempting to be fair to all parties in the transaction. We are dealing here with valuable, irreplaceable works of art.  In business since 1992, Estrella Fine Art and our predecessor Emmie Galleries have never encountered a request for return.  People have always been delighted with their purchases.

    We make every effort to provide detailed and accurate images and measurements of the artwork on this web site. We are especially careful to present colors faithfully.  It is impossible for us to control the color shown on every computer monitor, and so therefore it is possible that artwork may be different from what our customers see on their computer monitors or if they print from the internet. Flat screen monitors that use non-glare or privacy screens can dull the color, and in some cases the artwork itself contains nuances of color that cannot be duplicated on any screen. Estrella Fine Art therefore will permit limited returns ONLY according to the following procedure:

1.    If unframed artwork received is not suitable and the customer wishes to return it, the customer must first notify us of the return at emmie@estrellafineart.com within 3 business days after delivery of the item.  The customer will receive a confirmation email from Estrella Fine Art containing instructions for return, which the customer must print and include with the return.  (Estrella Fine Art will use the shipment tracking number to determine the date the item was delivered).

2.    The customer must immediately return the item, properly packed and insured, at the customer's expense.  The return shipment must be made within 5 business days after delivery of the item.

3.    Within two weeks after the returned item is received by Estrella Fine Art in proper condition, Estrella Fine Art will issue a refund, minus the original shipping costs, and minus a restocking fee of 10% of the purchase price of the art.

4.    Estrella Fine Art will only accept returns that meet these timing and notice requirements. NO LATE RETURNS. NO RETURNS WITHOUT ADVANCE  NOTICE.

5.     We will not accept any artwork for return that has been framed by the customer.

6.    We will accept returns of items framed by Estrella Fine Art only if there is a defect in materials or workmanship beyond the normal variations in mouldings and matboard.

6.    Any shipping damage must be reported to Estrella Fine Art immediately (no later than 48 hours after receipt) at emmie@estrellafineart.com.  No refund will be permitted in the event of damage in shipping.  Artwork is shipped fully insured.  Estrella Fine Art will process any damage claim with the carrier.  In order to receive reimbursement from the carrier, the buyer must satisfy all requirements of the shipper, including but not limited to providing the item and the original packaging for inspection by the carrier, proper identification, and sales receipt.  Most carriers will not insure glass, so if glass is damaged in shipping, Estrella Fine Art will replace it and will pay the shipping costs.

7.     Estrella Fine Art will exchange artwork if Estrella Fine Art made a mistake in filling the order by sending the wrong artwork or frame.  Shipping costs will be paid by Estrella Fine Art in the event of en exchange due to an error in filling the order.

8.     Estrella Fine Art reserves the right to amend this policy.

9.      Estrella Fine Art reserves the right to refuse to ship to any customer who abuses this policy by repeatedly requesting returns.
